“A low cost start on the GHz bands from an HF CW ops perspective!” by Simon Jude, G7SOZ
Many microwave operators are from a professional RF background, but Simon is a ‘newbie’ on the GHz bands and comes to the topic from a ‘proper amateur radio’ perspective. Inspired by RadCom GHz bands column coverage of the topic, he talks about his experiences with the extremely low cost “surplus LNB and inexpensive SDR Dongle” to getting on the GHz bands.
This presentation was given at the RSGB 2015 Convention; we hope it inspires you to try something new in amateur radio!
