Camping with ham radio and how it all went wrong

I had been so excited about this first overnight camp for nearly 6 months. I had planned a weekend with my daughter Sophie, making sure we had enough kit to sink a ship.

There were so many things I got wrong in the planning and executing it was comical.

The weather got so bad that at 5am the next morning after this video both our tents were ripped and flattened by gusts, my campbed had broken plus the portable station I had set up was next to useless.

You will see in the video how I start to lose the will to keep going.

So in the interest of keeping it real I’m sharing the video, it’s a bit like the Blair Witch project, I managed to pull the files from a pile of camping things thrown into the corner of the shed.

I would be very grateful if you could make a small donation to my paypal account, this helps me keep the channel running, many thanks
