Homebrew 6m antenna and the new Sotabeams tactical mini mast

This is NOT a how to video 🙂 I’m just videoing my attempt of building a wire antenna to take out to the hills soon with my new Sotabeams tactical mini.

I needed to try a new antenna for my Clansman 352 as the one that came with it may not be up for the job. So the aim was to build a half wave flower pot antenna to take with me on the next trip out, so I set to work with my average tools and average skill set.

I have a couple of trips planned this week (weather permitting) and I’m determined to get the illusive first contact on the VHF military radio.

For this trip I will use the Sotabeams tactical mini telescopic mast for the first time, so will reflect on how that performs.
