RSGB Convention 2018 lecture – Microwaves: from Death Rays to Dinner
William Eustace, M0WJE
The last century or so has seen the expansion of microwaves from physics research to every corner of our lives, from astronomy to communications. A lot of this development took place around RADAR, with the groundwork laid during WW2. This talk follows the British development of radar, along with a selection of subsequent advances in microwave technology, in a light-hearted and fairly high-level way.
